TransLink will begin in November the evaluation of the results obtained from the trialling of the ePaper Digital Bus Stop Displays in Brisbane.
In August, the company started the tests with electronic, solar-powered paper displays that have the potential to replace printed timetables at bus stops.
Bus stops on Melbourne Street in South Brisbane and on Adelaide, and Mary Streets in the CBD, currently have the digital signage, which provides up-to-the-minute information including any service disruptions.
“The trial will run until late November 2020 and will be evaluated upon completion to determine its suitability for a broader rollout across the Queensland public transport network,” Translink informed.
“TransLink is continually developing and exploring ways to improve the public transport experience for customers, including innovative technology trials as part of its Digital Futures Program.”
