Celebrities raise over $100m for bushfire relief

A countrywide catastrophe caused by drought and extreme heat, the bushfires dominating Australia since last September have claimed 24 lives and over half a billion animals.

The environmental disaster has mobilized over $100 million in donations as celebrities, corporations and communities cry out for help.

Meanwhile, tennis star Nick Kyrgios pledged to donate $200 to those affected by bushfires for every ace he hits across events he plays this summer, prompting Sam Stosur to follow his lead.

Every ace served across the 10-day ATP Cup in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney will deliver $100 to the Australian Red Cross bushfire disaster relief.
