A countrywide catastrophe caused by drought and extreme heat, the bushfires dominating Australia since last September have claimed 24 lives and over half a billion animals.
The environmental disaster has mobilized over $100 million in donations as celebrities, corporations and communities cry out for help.

Actor Chris Hemsworth announced on Instagram on January 7 a donation of $1 million to bushfire relief.
