For the second day in a row, there were no new cases of COVID-19 registered in Queensland.
According to the State Government, 1033 cases have been recorded so far, 948 patients have recovered. There are now less than 80 active cases.
As of Saturday, May 2, outdoor recreation will be allowed as well as shopping for non-essential items. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has also extended the distance that Queenslanders can travel.
“I really hope that everyone acts responsibly, that they enjoy the lifting of some of the stay-at-home restrictions,” she said.
“That they can get out and go and see their family and friends, go for a picnic, go for a walk in a national park.”
