Musicians working towards a well-succeed career can already apply for the QUBE Effect 2020, program destined to emerging Brisbane music professionals.

The 24 selected artists will be provided with a six-month music development program. They also will perform live at an inner-city location as part of Brisbane Youth Week 2020 and have a music video professionally filmed for the act for online People’s Choice Award voting.

“Being part of The QUBE Effect will provide you with opportunities to network with and be mentored by some of Brisbane’s most influential music industry experts and attend BIGSOUND,” says Brisbane City Council, responsible for the event.

To participate, at least one member of the act must live in the Brisbane Local Government Area, and, at least 50% of the act, must be aged between 12 and 25 years. The artists will be evaluated by their performance on stage. Style, innovation, originality and composition will also be considered.

The applications must contain a web link, mp4 or mp3 file of one of the candidate’s original songs (max 50MB); and one image of candidate’s act for publicity (high resolution, JPG format, max 50MB).

Winners of the following categories will be announced in June 2020:
. People’s Choice Award
. Innovation Award
. Best Original Song
. Best Live Performance
. Lord Mayor’s City Hall Concert Award
