Queensland is the place to be. With its borders partially open, travellers are keen to visit the state.
The latest survey from Booking.com has revealed that a third of Australian travellers are nominating Queensland as a place they want to visit. Not surprisingly the Gold Coast topped the wish list and also managed to score the second place globally.
Hot spots such as Airlie Beach and Noosa Heads also made it into Australian’s travel wish list on Booking.com. Thus, giving Queensland the number one spot to travel too, with over a third of the destinations on the wish list being in the Sunshine State.
The top 10 destinations on Queensland’s booking.com wish list were:

Capital Cities still remain among the top destinations for Australian travellers. Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra were all named in the top ten.

There is good news for travellers that had to cancel their holiday due to COVID-19 restrictions. Booking.com is offering a 15% reward (up to $170) to those travellers, after their stay, if they rebook the same destination before December 31st 2020.
